How can you charge such low prices?
We are able to charge low prices as we are a complete e-retail store. Savings generated as a result of labour, rental and other overheads are passed to you, our valued customer. Furthermore, we are able to reduce prices further as we purchase in bulk. All these strategies mean high end brands at more affordable prices for you.
Are your products genuine?
Yes, our products are genuine. We only deal with reputable distributors that sell authentic brands. We provide full product packaging and authenticity certificates with all our branded sunglasses.
What is the difference between model numbers and style codes?
A Model number is the unique identifier by a brand for that product. Style Codes are normally different variations (frame colour, lens colour) of a model number. Therefore, a model number can have several style codes but not the other way around.
What does Lens size mean?
As Lenses Sizes (width) influence the style of sunglasses, this information is provided for every sunglass frame within our website so that you can choose the frames that is best suited to your face.
e.g. Lens Size : 40 refers to the width across the lens.

The best, quickest and easiest way of choosing the best fit for you is to note down the measurement of your current pair as a guide. Most frames have this measurement on the inside of an arm.
As a general rule of thumb, people with narrow faces suit narrow frames. This measurement does not need to match exactly as any close number will result in a similar fit.
Ordering
Can I order by phone?
Most of our customers order with their credit card directly through our secure website. This is better as you can easily ensure you are inputting the right information including your delivery address. As we deal with customers from all over the world, it would be difficult to organize a telephone order service due to the differing time zones.
Can I cancel my order?
Our service guarantee for delivery is 15 - 20 business days and up to 30 business days for backorders. As such, should you decide to cancel an order that can be delivered within these time frames, please note that there will be a 5% cancellation fee. However, should your order be delayed beyond the time frames listed above, there will be no cancellation fee imposed.
Spekkies stocks most of the available models sold by the various manufacturers so as to meet our customer's expectations. However, due to the varying demand, some models may be sold out from Spekkies. As such, Spekkies would need to place your order with the manufacturer so that delivery can be made as soon as possible. Therefore, we seek our customers understanding when their purchased item is delayed due to such unforeseen circumstances.
Can I order a brand or product that is not shown on your website?
We carry the most famous designer brands and we usually show only the latest collections. If you are looking for a particular style from a past collection or of a brand not listed, please email us and we'll try our best to find it for you.
What are backorders?
A backorder occurs in situations when a particular model is popular and we have temporarily run out of stock. At the same time the manufacturer/distributor is also temporarily out of stock and they are in the process of manufacturing more. This is typical of the designer eyewear industry when the ranges of brands, models and colours are substantial.
Unlike other online optical stores, our strong ordering systems and excellent relationships allow us push the distributors daily to expedite backordered items. Also with our worldwide logistics centers we have access to a wider range of eyewear that allows us to speed up delivery times. Usually we are able to get your order in much faster than other stores.
However, we can understand your frustration at having to wait a longer time to receive your desired sunglasses. As such, we would be willing to refund your money and cancel the order immediately upon your request. However, as we order direct from the manufacturers, we can assure you that if we are out of stock, so is every other retailer out there.
What is Recommended Retail Price (RRP)?
The RRP is the sale price suggested by the distributor of the branded eyewear. The Recommended Retail Price (RRP) is not mandatory, although manufacturers and distributors may suggest that retail outlets maintain a price within the range of their suggestion. Whereas our online prices are very competitive within the eyewear industry, we cannot guarantee that this RRP is always higher or lower than the prices in a retail store. In addition, due to the fact the top branded eyewear worldwide is made in Italy, the RRP is also based on a Euro exchange rate within the Countries our websites are featured. Exchange rates are updated to our websites on a periodic basis and we cannot guarantee its accuracy on a daily basis either.
We encourage customers to compare prices via comparative price shopping engines online and through various other means in order to find the best deal. RRP is not the same as ‘street price’ - Street Price can be broadly defined as the price at which the item actually sells in the free market. Where can I find the security code on my credit card?
For most credit cards, the security code (also known as CVV2 or CVC2) is a 3-digit number found on the back of the card. The reason we request a security code is to ensure that the person using the card actually has it in his or her possession. For American Express cards, the CVV2 is a 4-digit number which can be found on the front of the card.

What are the payment methods?
We accept all major credit cards through the trusted Paypal e-Commerce banking system. This gives our customers and us the best possible payment protection.
I don't have a credit card. How else can I pay?
We do not accept cash as a payment method. Paypal is our only secure payment option - the safest in the online industry.

What should I enter as my shipping address?
All deliveries are registered for tracking purposes and require your signature upon delivery. If your shipping address is different from your billing address, we strongly recommend that you add the address of where you are likely to be during normal office hours to avoid delays. In many cases, this will be your work address.
Why am I charged shipping charges since I'm staying in Singapore and Spekkies is based in Singapore?
One reason why we are able to offer such amazing deals on our sunglasses is due to the fact that we do not hold our stock in Singapore. As Spekkies deals with international customers, we centralize our stock holding in our warehouse in USA and your purchase will be shipped from our warehouse in USA. As such, the shipping charge is still applicable to our valued customers from Singapore. However, you can enjoy free shipping if you spend a minimum of S$300.00!
How will I know when my order has been shipped?
Our Customer Service Team will inform you by email when your order has been shipped. We provide you with a tracking number so that you can track the status of your shipment.

How do I change my shipping address?
You can modify your shipping information online anytime prior to placing an order. We can revise shipping information for your order as long as the order has not yet entered the shipping process.

What can I do if my purchase is defective?
If, in the unlikely event, you should receive your purchase in a condition that is less than perfect, please contact us immediately. We will happily repair or replace your purchase at the manufacturer’s discretion. If that is not possible, we will provide you with a full refund. The product however needs to be returned to us within 7 days with proof of purchase.
What is your repair and warranty policy?
We offer a 12 month guarantee on our sunglasses frames. Please refer to our Guarantee page, for more details.
Can I return a non-defective product and get credit?
If you have changed your mind and the product is non-defective, we do not offer exchanges or give back credit. Please be sure about your order before you proceed with your purchase.
